🛠️ Installing RSAT on Windows 11

✅ Prerequisites:

  • You're signed in as an Administrator.
  • You're running Windows 11 Pro, Enterprise, or Education (RSAT is not available on Home editions).

💡 Step-by-Step Instructions

Option 1: Using Settings

  1. Open Settings
    Press Windows + I to open the Settings window.
  2. Go to Optional Features
    • Navigate to: Apps > Optional Features
    • Click View features next to Add an optional feature
  3. Search for RSAT tools
    In the search box, type RSAT: to view available tools.
  4. Select the RSAT tools you need
    Some common ones:
    • RSAT: Active Directory Domain Services and Lightweight Directory Services
    • RSAT: DHCP Server Tools
    • RSAT: DNS Server Tools
    • RSAT: Group Policy Management Tools
  5. Click Next, then Install
    • You can select multiple tools before clicking Next.
    • Once added, it will install in the background.
  6. Wait for Installation to Complete
    • You can track installation progress under the Installed features list.
