Update the Windows Update policy for executive staff devices to permit automatic reboots after updates during a restricted maintenance window (2:00 AM – 6:00 AM), ensuring timely patching while minimizing business disruption.


The Materials Lab runs extensive tests that take several hours. The screen time-out causes a restraint on the test because the individual who is logged in may step away for several minutes. They have to start the test over again, leading to issues, as there is a short timeframe to get these completed.


Periodic firmware updates are released for the Dell servers. Need to update a variety of critical firmware including BIOS, iDRAC, & drivers. Most servers can be done with out an outage, with the exception of ROOTDC23, DOTDC2, Oracle server, and district domain controllers. Work to be performed after hours to ensure no major impact to business operations.
